Why Nidhivan is still a matter of surprise, know 10 secrets

Share

Mystery of Nidhi Van: There is a place named Nidhivan in Vrindavan where there is an ancient temple of Shri Krishna. There are many types of legends prevalent about this temple and forest. It is said that Shri Krishna comes here every day and after performing Raasleela at night, he sleeps here and leaves in the morning. Let us know the secret of these surprising things.*

1. After performing Shayan Aarti in the temple of Nidhivan, all the devotees are taken out and the temple and Nidhivan area is closed with about 7 locks. Before closing the lock, Neem sticks, betel leaves, laddus and makeup items are kept for the Lord in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. No one comes here at night, but still surprisingly, when the temple is closed in 7 locks and is opened in the morning, paan is found chewed, datun is bitten, laddus are eaten and makeup items are scattered.

2. It is said that the doors of this temple open and close on their own but no one has seen this. However, people definitely tell their experiences in this regard. According to the belief, Tansen’s guru Saint Haridas had personally revealed the pair form of Radha-Krishna to this temple through his hymns. Krishna and Radha used to come here to visit. Swamiji’s Samadhi is also built here.

3. No one goes here at night. It is said that whoever stays here at night and tries to understand this mystery is found unconscious and blissful in the morning. He dies after two or three days.

4. This temple closes after the evening and it is also said that if someone secretly watches Raasleela here, he goes mad the next day. No one stays here at night. According to local people, this has been happening for years. Some people consider it a superstition and some people consider it a miracle of Shri Krishna. However, what is the truth is a matter of research.

5. It is also believed that Lord Krishna himself comes to sleep in this temple every night. Every day, the priests of the temple arrange a bed for them to sleep on which a clean mattress and a sheet are spread over the bed. Along with paan beeda, laddu and datoon, they also keep make-up items. But it is said that when the temple opens, everyone is surprised to see the condition of that bed, because looking at it it seems that someone had slept here.

6. The most surprising thing is that here every day Prasad of Makhan Mishri is offered and whatever is left is kept in the temple itself, but by morning that Prasad also gets exhausted. After all, who would eat that Prasad?

7. There is a rumor that every day Krishna-Radha’s bed is placed in the theater inside the temple and the entire theater is decorated and after keeping Radhaji’s makeup items, the doors of the temple are closed. When the doors open in the morning, everything is found in disarray. It is believed that Radha-Krishna come at night and use this stuff.

8. It is said that two Tulsi plants are planted together here. At night, when Radha and Krishna perform Raas, these Tulsi plants become Gopis and dance with them. No one takes even a single leaf of this basil from here. Whoever does this secretly becomes the victim of a huge disaster.

9. The trees growing in the premises of this temple are also strange. The branches of the trees here grow downwards. It is also a popular belief that at night all these trees become Gopis and dance with Shri Radha and Krishna and in the morning they become trees again. All these trees are considered Gopis.

In Raas Panchadhyayi in the tenth skandha of Shrimad Bhagwat, Lord Shri Krishna has told about Maharasas with Gopikas in Yamuna Pulin on Sharad Purnima. Even today, on Sharad Poonam, a special Raasleela takes place in Nidhivan, but no one can see it but can only feel it. It is said that the embraced trees of Nidhivan are actually the Raas of Gopikrishna who turn into trees in the morning and start dancing in the silence of the night.

10. Most of the houses around here do not have windows and those who have them, close the windows after the evening aarti out of fear that no one will look in the direction of the temple, otherwise he will become blind.
