Avantikapuri

Avantikapuri or Avak or Anvak is a village located in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh state of India.

Description

Avantikapuri Dham is situated in Rani ki Sarai near Mau district. It is said that King Janamejaya had organized a yajna at this place to kill all the snakes from the earth. The temple and lake located here are also quite famous. A large number of people come to take bath in this holy lake.
