Chail is a beautiful hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, which is famous for its natural beauty. This place is famous for Kali Ka Tibba Temple, Chayal Mahal, Siddhababa Temple, Asia’s highest cricket ground and polo ground as well as wildlife sanctuary.

This place is about 42 kilometers from Shimla.

When you are at an altitude of 2226 meters above sea level, natural beauty and picturesque views are guaranteed. Chail is one such place. Quiet, beautiful and delightful. Kali Ka Tibba, situated on the Mandi hill, is a wonderful gift of nature.

While going to Kandadhat from this tourist place, Kali Ka Tibba Temple is situated on the top of the hill at a distance of about 6 kilometers. There is a road leading to the temple, on which small vehicles can go. One can also go on foot to visit the temple. The view here becomes even more beautiful in the evening when the sun sets. This temple is surrounded by Shivalik hills and Chur Chandni Peak.

There are 5 temples at this place. The main temple is of Kali Mata, which was built around 2002. Before this, Kali Mata was present at this place in the form of a body, which is still present there. There are also Panchmukhi Hanuman temple, Ganesh idol and Shiva temple here. There are different stone and metal Shivalingas in the Shiva temple.

One gets peace by sitting in the greenery and peaceful environment around the temple. The temple is made of white marble.

Here you can also visit Chail Mahal, which was built by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. This was their summer capital. This palace is about 115 years old. Here you can also visit the sanctuary. Animals like Indian muntjac, leopard, porcupine, wild boar, goral, sambar and European red deer can be seen here. Various species of trees and plants are also present here. It is a great place for trekking and fishing.

While going from Chail to Kali Ka Tibba Temple, you can also visit Asia’s highest cricket ground and Siddhababa Temple. Both these places are located in military areas and permission and investigation is required before going here. Siddhababa temple has great recognition in the local area.

Darshan timings in the temple:
From 5 am to 9 pm. Time varies according to seasons.
