Darshan in Khatu Shyam Ji temple became accessible

Visiting Khatu Shyam Dham temple has now become more accessible than before. This has been possible due to the new arrangements made for the visitors in the temple. Darshan of Shyam Baba is happening within 20 to 45 minutes of standing in line. Every devotee is getting two to five minutes for the darshan of Shyam Baba in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The Lakhi Fair of the famous Khatu Shyam Ji Temple located in Sikar district of Rajasthan started from 22 February 2022 and concluded on Dwadashi, 3 days before Holi Dahan. However, even on the day of Holi Dahan, a huge crowd of devotees gathered here. More than 25 lakh devotees visited this fair. During this time, most of the people praised the improvements made in the systems here.

Actually, earlier the path to enter the temple was quite small. Due to which there used to be frequent scuffles among the visitors. Due to this, an accident had also happened here recently. Now arrangements have been made in 14 queues in front of the grand statue of Shyam Baba in the temple. This has made it easier to have darshan. Secondly, earlier the railing was jic-jack, that too has now been made straight. Along with this, the roads around the temple complex have been widened. This has increased the convenience of the people.

It took 84 days for the temple administration, district administration and local body to make all these arrangements. During this period, the temple remained closed for general visitors from 13 November 2022 to February 2023.

What problem is facing Khatu Shyamji temple now? At present the visitors are facing the problem of vehicle parking here. The first question is where to park at Khatu Shyam Ji? For this, there is parking here about 1 km before Shyam Dwar i.e. the temple. Apart from this there is also private parking. The parking rate has been increased this time. Rs 100 is being charged for car-jeep parking. This is disturbing the visitors. Secondly, there is no arrangement at the parking lot here. Dirt is spread all around. The behavior of the parking contractor’s staff is also not good.

How to reach Khatushyam

The nearest airport to Khatu Shyam is Jaipur International Airport. It is located in Jaipur city, about 93 kilometers from Khatu Shyam. From Jaipur Airport you can reach Khatu Shyam via taxi. Or from Jaipur International Airport, first reach Jaipur Bus Stand via taxi and then from the bus stand you can reach Khatu Shyam via bus. There is a railway station here in Ringas. This station is about 17 km away from the temple and is connected to many cities including Jaipur, Bikaner.

Shyam Baba’s temple is ancient

The famous temple of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji is located at Khatu in Sikar district. This temple is about 1000 years old and was rebuilt by Abhay Singh Ji in 1720. In this temple, the head of Barbarik, the grandson of Bhima and the eldest son of Ghatotkacha, is worshipped. Whereas Barbarik’s torso is worshiped in Syahdwa, a small village in Hisar district of Haryana.
