There is a unique temple of Goddess Maa at Hridenagar place in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. The caste beliefs here are so entrenched that women are never allowed entry here. Local people believe that the mother also fulfills the wishes of the children.
This unique temple of Chapriwali Mata is situated 10 kilometers away from Mandla. Apart from the entry of women being prohibited, another interesting thing here is that here the wishes are not made by speaking but in writing. The letter of the wish is placed at the feet of the mother and after that this wish is fulfilled.
Most of the devotees who want to have a child come to this temple. A wish is also written here to trace the stolen goods. Along with this, wishes for education, good life partner etc. are also sought. A wish for good farming is also made to the mother. After the wish is fulfilled, there is a tradition of animal sacrifice and liquor is also offered to the mother. This tradition has been going on for a long time. However, the tradition of animal sacrifice has now reduced significantly.

Darshan in the temple is closed for some time during the day. A huge fair is organized here on the occasion of Navratri on both the occasions of the year.
