Know how unique is the glory of Mother Goddess.

Family goddesses have a special place in Hindu society. Every Hindu clan has a special family deity or family goddess. Meena community is a big society in Rajasthan. It has many dynasties or clans. Sihra dynasty is one of these. The family deity of Sihra dynasty is Dant Mata.

If you want to have darshan of Dant Mata, you will have to go to Jamwa Ramgarh near Jaipur. This is a picturesque temple situated on a hill. It is said that the temple of Dant Mata was built by Raja Rao Singoji of Sihra dynasty in Vikram Samvat 352. There are stairs to the temple in the east-east direction on the hill. This white temple of Mata looks as beautiful as a tooth on the hill.

This temple is situated about two kilometers away from the Ramgarh Dam, which has been quenching the thirst of Jaipur for many years. Apart from Meena community, it is the center of folk faith of other communities also. On various occasions including Navratri, people come here for Jaat-Jadule and Sawamani. Along with the Prasad, there is also a tradition of presenting the mother’s dress and sixteen makeup materials in the mother’s temple as per the devotion.

There are hills nearby and during the rains many waterfalls start flowing around here. The atmosphere becomes picturesque. Then a large number of people come here for gathering and picnic. It is also part of Ramgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. Every devotee passing in front of the Mother’s temple does not forget to bow his head to the Mother.

It is said that those who worship Mother Goddess with true heart, Mother Goddess fulfills their wishes. Today Jamwa is going to Ramgarh, here Jamuwa Mata, the family deity of many communities including Kachchvaha dynasty (Jaipur royal family)

मंदिर में दिनभर दर्शन किए जा सकते हैं। यहां दिन में कुछ समय तक पट बंद रहते हैं। नवरात्र के अवसर पर यहां विशेष उत्सवों का आयोजन होता है और बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु आते हैं।
