Narayani Mata is the family deity of Sain community.
There are many famous temples of folk deities in Rajasthan. Among them, Karni Mata, Jeen Mata, Bhrithari Ji, Goga Ji, Pabuji and Narayani Mata etc. are prominent. The temple of Narayani Mata is famous for this special reason because the Sain community considers it as their family deity. The temple of Narayani Mata is situated at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the world famous Bhangarh Fort in Alwar district.
This temple is of the 11th century and is built in Pratihar style. There is a pond near the temple, which has continuous water and in front of it there is a canal-like pond for bathing. Apart from the statue of Mother Goddess, there is a statue of Narasimha Maharaj in the temple. There are about a dozen bells installed just outside the door of the temple.
The natural beauty of Narayani Dham, a religious area surrounded by the forest area of Sariska, is very good. There is a huge gate on the road leading to the temple. There are many monkeys on the way and you have to escape from them. There are shops for Prasad and other materials outside this temple near Tilwad village. Thousands of devotees come here on Sunday. Dharamshalas have been built for staying.
