Mughal Emperor Akbar had given a message of goodwill to the entire country. During the reign of Akbar, Raja Mansingh of Amer went to Afghanistan for war. While roaming on Attock hill, he found a Shivalinga. He brought it and installed it at a deserted place in Agra. Rawal Rajputs lived around the temple, hence it was named Rawali Mahadev Temple. Over time the temple complex expanded.
Speciality
When the railway line was laid during the British rule, efforts were made to move this temple back, but it was not successful. Therefore, the railway line had to be diverted and laid in front of the temple, which can be seen even today. Apart from the ancient Shivling of Baba Bhole, there are statues of Bajrang Bali, Lord Ram, Radha-Krishna, Bhairon Baba etc. in the temple.
We are maintaining the Mahant tradition of the temple. Worship is done here every day on time. The month of Sawan was dedicated to the Corona period, due to which the number of devotees had to be limited.
