Shri Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ji Mandir, Jaipur-Delhi Highway, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Hanuman ji is called Sankat Mochan. It is believed that if he is worshiped with true heart, he can remove even the biggest problems of the devotee. Due to this belief, there are many Hanuman temples which have been named Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.

There is a temple of Sankat Mochan Hanuman ji in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and famous as Pink City. This temple is in the valley of Bandh near Jal Mahal on Jaipur-Delhi Highway. This temple is situated on Jaipur-Delhi Highway. Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is decades old.

The place where this temple is situated was earlier an old road to and from Jaipur. There is an ancient door here and outside this door there used to be a small temple. The idol of Hanumanji installed in a small room was worshiped by the people nearby. When people from nearby villages used to come to Jaipur through this route to sell fodder, grains etc., they used to make offerings as per their devotion. It was believed that this would ensure good employment for them.

Gradually this belief increased and this temple continued to develop. Later a new route was built here and traffic through the old route stopped. Statues of other gods and goddesses were also installed here. Maa Durga, Maa Kali, Hanumanji, Ganeshji and Shiva family have been established in this temple.

The biggest feature of this temple is the huge statue of Hanuman ji installed here. This statue of Hanumanji sitting in meditation posture was installed a few years ago. This temple is now also gaining recognition as the new picnic spot in Pinkcity. There is a stall of churma-dal-baati here. Along with this, many families organize family programs here.
