One of the 108 Parasnath tirth Darshan. A must visit place for all jains. Very artistic parikar and other places in temple. In-house facilities for stay and food available here. Most importantly, it’s on highway road touch.

In the town of Siddhpur, Shri Sultan Parshvanath Prabhu is seated as the main deity in the sanctum sanctorum above the spire-like temple of Shri Mahavir Swamiji. This statue, in Padmasana posture and without a hood, is 25 inches tall and 25 inches wide and is contemporary.

Siddha Raja Jai Singh constructed a magnificent and lofty Chaitya called “Siddha Vihar” in Siddhpur. At the same time, Mahamatya Alingdev constructed the Chaumukh Vihar. Mahamatya Alingdev installed Lord Parshvanath in this Chaumukh Vihar.

During the Muslim period, Allauddin Khilji attacked this temple. At that time, Allauddin was eager to destroy the idol. With folded hands, the devotee Bhojko pleaded, “Please do not destroy this idol. It is not a stone, it is God Himself.”

Hearing Bhojko’s prayer, the king asked for proof of the idol being the form of God.

Bhojako started playing music, and at the same time, 99 lamps filled with ghee lit themselves. At the same time, a snake came and sat in front of the Sultan (king). Thus, Bolka Allauddin returned as he was. From that day on, the epithet “Sultan” became associated with the statue. The king was ashamed to see this effect of the idol and exclaimed, “This god is the King Sultan.”

Evening Aarti timings are around 7.30. Mandirji is lighted beautifully during evenings.

This temple of Parshawnath comes in one of the 1008 Parshawnath temples in India. The idol was previously there in the old city siddhpur. Later it was shifted to this place. Once upon a time, when Mughal Sultan Alauddin Khilji along with his army tried to harm this idol, he got freezed immediately at the moment, so the name sultan parshwanath.
