14 types of death
Ram-Ravana war was going on, then Angad said to Ravana – You are dead, what is the use of killing the dead?
Ravana said – I am alive, how come I am dead?
Angad said, only those who breathe are not called alive, even the blacksmith’s bellows breathe!
Then Angad told 14 types of death-
kaul kaamabas krpin vimoodha.
atidaridr ajasi atibudha..
sadaarogabas santat krodhee.
vishnu vimukh shrutivirodhee sant..
tanuposhak nindak aghaani.
jeevat shav sam chaudah praani..
1. Lust: A person who is extremely indulgent, indulges in sexual desires, who is entangled in worldly pleasures, is as if he is dead. The creature whose desires never end and who lives only under the influence of his desires, is as good as dead. He does not indulge in spirituality, he is always engrossed in lust.
2. Leftist: A person who moves contrary to the whole world, who searches for negativity behind everything in the world; The one who goes against the rules, traditions and public behavior is called leftist. People doing such work are considered as dead.
3. Miser: A very stingy person is also dead. A person who hesitates in doing religious work, taking part in any financially welfare work, or avoids donating, such a person is also like a dead person.
4. Extremely poor: Poverty is the biggest curse. The person who is devoid of wealth, self-confidence, respect and courage is also dead. Even the most poor person is dead. The poor man should not be cursed, because he is already dead. We should help the poor by considering them as Narayan.
5. Stupid: An extremely stupid person is also dead. The one who does not have intelligence and discretion, who cannot take decisions on his own, that is, who is dependent on someone else to understand every task or take decisions, such a person is also like a dead person while alive, a fool does not understand spirituality.
6. Ajasi: The person who has got infamy in the world is also dead. The person who does not get respect in home-family, family-society, city-nation, any unit is as good as dead.
7. Due to constant illness: The person who remains continuously sick is also dead. In the absence of a healthy body the mind remains distracted. Negativity takes over. The person starts wishing for death. Despite being alive, the sick person remains deprived of the joy of life.
8. Very old: A very old person is also like dead, because he becomes dependent on other people. Both body and intellect become disabled. In such a situation, many times he himself and his family members start wishing for his death, so that he can get relief from these sufferings.
9. Constantly angry: A person who remains angry 24 hours a day is like a dead person. Such a person gets angry on every small and big thing. Due to anger, both mind and intellect are out of his control. A person who does not have control over his mind and intellect is not considered alive even if he is alive. This creature becomes angry due to the sanskars of its previous birth. An angry person kills many living beings and goes to hell.
10. Agh Khani: The person who supports himself and his family with the money earned through sinful activities is as good as dead. The people living with him also become like him. One should always earn money by working hard and honestly. The earnings of sin go into sin and the earnings of sin lead to the attainment of a lowly Gotra, Nigod.
11. Tanu Nutrika: A person who lives completely for self-satisfaction and his own interests, who does not have any sympathy for any other creature in the world, such a person is also like a dead person. Those people who think only about food, drink, space in vehicles, everything that they should get all the things first, and the rest should not be available to anyone else, they are as if dead. Such people are useless for the society and nation. It is foolish to accept the body as our own and remain attached to it, because this body is perishable, about to be destroyed.
12. Critic: The person who criticizes without any reason is also dead. The person who sees only shortcomings in others, the person who does not hesitate to criticize even the good work of someone, the person who, if he sits near anyone, only speaks ill of someone or the other, that person is also as good as dead. Is. Criticizing others binds one to a low caste.
13. God-averse: The person who is against God i.e. God is also as if he is dead. The person who thinks that there is no Supreme Being; Whatever we do, that is what happens, we are the ones who are running the world, the person who does not believe in the supreme power, such a person is also considered dead.
14. Anti-Shruti Saint: The one who is against the saints, scriptures and Puranas is also as if dead. Shrutas and saints work to control (brake) the malpractices in the society. If the vehicle does not have brakes, an accident can occur by falling anywhere. Similarly, society needs saints, otherwise there will be no control on malpractice in the society.
Therefore, man should avoid living like a dead person by staying away from the above mentioned fourteen vices as much as possible.
