Auraiya: Maa Phoolmati Devi temple located in Phoolganj market is included among the famous Shaktipeeths of the district. Apart from Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri, devotees come here throughout the year to offer prayers. Market shopkeepers and villagers visiting here come to pay obeisance in the court of Mata. During Navratri, there is a huge crowd in Maa’s court only.

History:

The idol of Maa Ashtabhuja Durga is installed in the Devi temple which is about 250 years old. This temple was given a grand appearance by the devotees. Shiva family is established.

How to reach:

There are many routes from outside the city to reach the mother’s temple. Maa’s court is established at a distance of 50 steps from the stand on Dibiyapur Road. The temple can also be reached via Goshala Road. For the devotees coming from Kanpur, the route to the temple is easy by reaching Dibiyapur bus stand from Subhash Chowk.

Speciality:

There is always hustle and bustle in the temple established in the middle of the city and market. Even while sitting at the establishments, the shopkeepers hear the echo of the bells of Mata Rani. The wishes of every goddess devotee who worships here are fulfilled.

Phoolmati Devi Temple is a Siddha Shakti Peeth. Every child, elderly, mothers and sisters of the city have full faith and devotion towards the Mother Queen. Traders start their business only after having darshan of the Mother Goddess. Devotees from far and wide come to see the mother during Navratri. Bhandara is also organized here during Navratri twice a year. In which thousands of devotees take Prasad.
