Kapileshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple, which is more than 1000 years old. According to the ancient inscriptions, when Kapilmuni (Son of Kashyapmuni) reached Chanod during his pilgrimage of Reva Tat, he observed that this place was best for Penance. After performing Penance for several years, he found “Shiv Linga” by his own name at the same place, which is known as Kapileshwar Mahadev. At present, the sacred temple has 16 pillars. Several pictures of Ramayana & Mahabharata are carved on the dome of this temple.
P. P. Vasudevanad Saraswati Tembhe Swami Maharaj visit this place during Tilakwada Chaturmas.
Three Rivers, namely Narmada, Orsang, and Gupt Sarswati, culminate at Triveni Sangam in Chanod. This Triveni Sangam is regarded very sacred and gives lot of vitality to Chanod.

Tthis temple was owned by gaekwads .it is situated near balaji temple . There are many small temple situated in this premises.two.main temples are in this premises. This is one of th biggest structure of chandod.the goomaj is having good design of ancient time .
