Shree Siddheshwar Temple Wadgaon,Gaosud,Siddheshwar,Osmanabad,Maharashtra
Osmanabad is 8 km from the district location. I. Far away is Vadgaon and to the west of this village there is a Hemadpanthi temple of Siddheshwar one furlong from the Osmanabad Vadgaon road. A small stream flows behind the temple. After about 57 steps we reach the temple. On entering inside, one can see a brass Nandi idol right in front, situated on a stone canopy. Beyond this is a pavilion supported on a stone pillar. Next to the verandah, on the left and right sides of the main door, there is a devokoshta, in which the idols of Lord Ganesha and Devi respectively are found embedded in the wall. In the main core is a Shivlinga with a brass mask of Siddheshwar on it. The peak of the temple is decorated with various idols and shrines and a brass crown is installed on the peak. For the pilgrims, there is a facility of Ovaras in the temple premises. A big yatra is held here on Mahashivratri day.
