Wishes are fulfilled just by darshan of Maa Durga in 84 Ghanta temple

In this temple, all the wishes made with true heart are fulfilled. When the wishes are fulfilled, the devotees offer bells here.

वैSince then Bareilly is called Nath Nagri, because temples of Lord Shiva are established in every direction of the city. But a very famous temple of Maa Durga is also located in the city. Which is known as 84 Ghanta Temple. The 84 Ghanta Temple located on Badaun Road in Subhashnagar is considered to be a miraculous temple. It is believed that just by having darshan here, all the wishes of the people are fulfilled. When the wish is fulfilled, the devotees offer a bell in the Devi temple. At present there are one lakh one thousand 264 hours in this temple.

This is how the temple was built
This temple was constructed in 1969. The place where the temple is built. Late Umashankar Garg had taken a plot here to build a house. When the foundation was being dug for the house, the Mother Goddess appeared in the dream of Umashankar’s wife, late Shakuntala Devi, and asked her to build a temple before building the house. When Shakuntala Devi told this to her husband, Umashankar first built a temple of Goddess Durga on the roadside. Offerings were made in the temple for 84 hours in a single day. Due to which the temple was named 84 Ghanta Mandir. Since then, more than one lakh bells have been installed in the temple. This temple remains the center of people’s faith.

The eternal flame burning in the temple
The flame was lit in the Devi temple on 12 October 1969. This unbroken flame is still burning. Along with this, idols of Shiva family and Bajrangbali are also installed in the temple. The fame of Maa Durga temple spread so much that people not only from Bareilly but from many states come here to visit the temple and after their wishes are fulfilled, they offer bells in the temple.

There is a rush of devotees during Navratri
Although people come to the 84 Ghanta temple every day for darshan, but during Navratri days the view of this temple is different. A large number of devotees come here for darshan. Before Chaitra Navratri, hundreds of devotees gathered to worship Goddess Shailputri. The entire temple complex echoed with the cheers of the mother.
