It is a temple which remains unaffected by the modern advancements. In this temple the Goddess Parvati is worshipped by varied names like Tripurasundari, Tripuravashewari and Soroshi. It is believed that the king Dhanayamanika in the 15th Century had a dream of the goddess Parvati and thereafter he had constructed this temple with complete faith and religious ceremonies. Goddess Kali with the name of Chootu Maa is even worshipped here. The shrine here is also called as Koorma peetha which resembles the shape of tortoise. This temple is worshipped for power.
HISTORY

As per the Hindu Mythology, Lord Vishnu with his Sudershan Chakra has cut off the body of Mata Sati into 51 pieces. The right foot of the Sati Mata was fallen here and in the city the rest of the pieces were fallen, the villagers have named them Shaktipeeths. The main attraction of the temple is its shape that resembles a tortoise. Within the temple there is also a small lake known as Kalyan Sagar.
