Bedford Hindu Temple & Community Trust

The idea of building a temple was started off as a small friendly discussion amongst the Hindu community living in and around Bedford.  We realised that it was a need for many to have a dedicated place for Hindu community for their cultural activities.

Thus a signature campaign was done at Pongal to a

scertain the number of interested parties before taking active steps.  A very promising number of respondents showed interest in taking up such an ambitious project.

We acquired the site considering accessibility of the location, parking, transportation facilities and necessary planning permission from council.  A large number of enthusiastic volunteers have jumped in to provide necessary help in building this temple becoming a reality today.

On the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturti on 2021, we have conducted Kumbabhishekam and inaugurated our temple for public use.
