History of Kumbeshwar Mahadev
The Kumbeshwar Mahadev temple is believed to build in 12th century during rule of King Kumarpala in Kumbhariya near Amabji. The design and architecture of this temple is looks like Jain Tirth as it was planned by Sompura Community who are expert in building Jain Temple. This temple is built with white marble. The central niches on the outer wall have picture of Naresh, Bhairav and Chamunda Ma. The base has carving of elephant and daily life scene.
