This is a unique temple of Mother Saraswati Devi, devotees come to Siddhpeeth from far and wide.

There is Siddhapeeth temple of Mother Saraswati Devi in Surajkund area of Meerut. Here students and artists from other states including UP come to seek the blessings of the Mother Goddess and the Mother Goddess fulfills their wishes. The statue of this Siddhapeeth, which is included in the three temples of Goddess Saraswati located in North India, is said to be of Treta Yuga. Here the temple was built by installing the idol of Goddess Saraswati buried in the soil under the Pakhar tree.

According to Pandit Harihar Nath Jha, priest of Saraswati Siddhpeeth temple, the idol of the goddess is from Treta Yuga. Here the idol of Mother Saraswati Devi was buried under the Pakhar tree. About 180 years ago, when the British were ruling India, the wife of a British officer posted in Meerut Cantt was interested in Sanatan Dharma, she used to come to the temple to worship. One day, the English officer’s wife heard the voice of the Goddess in Prakrit language. The goddess said that my idol is buried under the tree. Get my statue out of here. When the Pakhar tree was dug up, the statue of Mother Saraswati Devi was found, people kept this statue and started worshiping it, then a temple was built here. Since then, devotees from far and wide come here to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
Pandit Harihar Nath Jha says that apart from Jammu-Kashmir and Mirzapur, this is only the third temple of Goddess Saraswati in North India. This is Siddhapeeth, if the devotees light a lamp in front of the Goddess for 41 consecutive days then the Goddess definitely fulfills their wishes. Many students, including those pursuing any kind of studies, engineering, scientists etc. come to Siddhapeeth to worship Goddess Saraswati Devi. The Goddess definitely fulfills their wishes.
