The secret of two finger bondage?

brahmalok lagi gayun main chitayun paachh udaat.
jug angul kar beech sab raam bhujahi mohi taat.

Meaning:- I went to Brahmalok and when I looked back while flying, O Father! There was only two fingers between Shri Ramji’s arm and me.

In Ramcharitmanas, when the Lord’s arm tried to catch Kagbhusund ji, that arm always lagged behind by a difference of just two fingers and in Vrindavan, when Yashoda Maiya tried to tie the mischievous Lord Shyamsundar, the rope of the entire Vrindavan also lagged behind by a difference of just two fingers. Remains small.

When Lord Ji was asked what is the secret of these two fingers, he smiled and said that one finger is of my grace and the other finger is of the living being’s wish. Unless the living being tries to catch me and then I will bless that living being. If I don’t do this, then our meeting will not be possible. If God and the devotee do not try to catch each other, then there will be no meeting between the living beings and God.

At the time of Shri Ram’s marriage, God was tied by the end of mother Sita’s five-coloured chunari and then when Lord Shyamsundar called for a rope from Radharani’s rain, he also got tied.

There is no surprise if the rope in the hands of the mother in whose lap the vast Brahma became so small, becomes small. The reason for the rope becoming small in the hands of Mother Yashoda was not because of Lord Shyamsundar, because God did not allow her to get tied to the rope. You had not made your body bigger then why couldn’t Mother Yashoda be able to bind it.The reason for this was that on the one hand, she wanted to tie it due to anger and on the other hand, due to love, she was hesitant in tying it, hence the rope remained short. Due to mother’s anger and hesitation, there was a difference of two fingers. If there was any kind of doubt in the mind, If there is doubt then God cannot be tied.

The meaning is that God can be bound by the bond of devotion. Mother Sita and Radharani are the form of devotion. Once bound in the bond of devotion, God is seen following the Bhakti Devi. Mother Sita’s chunari in the marriage of Shri Ram. Bound by this, Shri Ram completes the marriage by following Shri Sita.

The Father of God who is infinite and who has no end and who has no limit, that God also becomes infinite when tied with the string of devotion and then he can be caught..!!
