Why Mangala Aarti of Shri Banke Bihari ji is not done? Know the truth: –

Once an old Brahmin from Calcutta came to Vrindavan for the darshan of Shri Bihari ji and after meeting the Lord, he became a resident there.

When he asked for service from Goswami ji of the temple, Swami ji said – Baba! What service will you be able to do at this age?

When Baba requested a lot, Swami ji put a night watchman at Shri Bihari ji’s doorstep and said – Baba! You have to take care that no thief should enter the Chakuta temple.

Baba accepted the service with great enthusiasm.

Many years have passed while serving.

Once Bihari ji started walking towards Seva Kunj at midnight, Baba also followed him. Bihari ji got tired after reaching near Sevakunj. When he looked back, Baba was also behind him.

He told Baba that, I am very tired, please take me to Seva Kunj.

Baba carried Shri Banke Bihari ji on his shoulders to the doorstep of Seva Kunj.

The Lord said to Baba – Drop me here and wait for me.

It came to Baba’s mind that what has the Lord come to Seva Kunj at this time of night? Wanting to know, he peeped through the niche and saw divine light. In that light he saw Shri Bihari ji dancing with Shri Radha ji. Baba’s condition became like that of a madman and he fell unconscious.

In the morning Bihari ji called Baba and said to Baba – Baba! You won’t take me to the temple.

Baba took Bihari ji to the temple at four in the morning and told the whole story to Goswami ji.

When Goswami ji started lifting Bihari ji for Mangala Aarti, Baba held his feet and said – My Govind is still sleeping!

It is said that from that day onwards, except Janmashtami, Mangala Aarti of Shri Banke Bihari ji was never performed and on the same day, Shri Bihari ji called that Baba to his service place..!!
