When is Bada Mangal 2024: Jyeshtha month is starting from 24th May 2024, Friday. Jyeshtha month has special significance in Hindu religion. Worship of Hanuman ji has special significance in this month. Every Tuesday of this month is called Budhwa Mangal or Bada Mangal.

Pratipada Tithi Start:- 23rd May, Thursday, 07:23 PM

Pratipada date ends:- 24th May, Friday till 07:25 pm

In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, Jyeshtha month is starting from 24th May.

When will Mangal become old?

In the month of Jyeshtha, the first Budha Mars will fall on 28 May, the second Mars on 4 June, the third Mars on 11 June and the fourth Big Mars on 18 June.

Mars falling in the month of Jyeshtha has special significance. On this day, devotees get the blessings of Hanumanji by reciting Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrangbaan and reading Sunderkand. If any of your wishes are unfulfilled, then by offering chola in the temple of Hanumanji on the day of Budhwa Mangal, all your unfulfilled wishes will be fulfilled and you will attain virtue.

Why is old Hanuman ji worshipped?

According to mythological beliefs, Budhwa Mangal is considered to be associated with the Mahabharata period and Ramayana period. According to the story of Mahabharata period, Bhima had become very proud of his powers. To shatter Bhima’s pride, Hanumanji took the form of an old monkey on Tuesday and defeated Bhima. Since then this day started being celebrated by the name of Budha Mangal.

During the Ramayana period, when Hanumanji reached Lanka in search of Mother Sita, Ravana insulted him by calling him a monkey. To shatter Ravana’s pride, Hanumanji had taken the form of an old monkey. Bajrangbali had assumed a gigantic form and had shattered the pride of Lanka’s ruler Ravana by burning Lanka with his tail.
