Sages and saints say that a person who touches a cow after taking bath in the morning becomes free from all sins. The oldest scriptures in the world are the Vedas and in the Vedas also there is a description of the importance of the cow and the divine powers in its every part.

It is believed that Lakshmi is present in cow dung, Bhavani in cow urine, the celestial deity in the front of the feet, Prajapati in the sound of mooing and the ocean in the udders.

Applying a tilak of soil on the feet of a cow gives the virtue of taking a pilgrimage. That is, in Sanatan Dharma, cow has always been considered the representative of the Gods rather than just being an animal that gives milk.

Gods and Goddesses reside in cow’s parts

According to Padma Purana, all four Vedas reside in the mouth of the cow. Lord Shiva and Vishnu always reside in its horns. Kartikeya in the cow’s belly, Brahma in the head, Rudra in the forehead, Indra in the tip of the horn, Ashwini Kumar in both the ears, Sun and Moon in the eyes, Garuda in the teeth, Saraswati in the jiva (tongue), all the pilgrims in the apan (anus). , Ganga ji in the urine place, Rishis in the Romkupo, Yamraj in the back, Varun and Kuber in the south side,Mahabali Yaksha is situated on the left side, Gandharva is situated inside the mouth, snake is situated in the front part of the nose and Apsaras are situated in the back part of the hooves.

Even in Bhavishya Purana, Skanda Purana, Brahmanda Purana, Mahabharata, detailed description of the position of Gods and Goddesses in every part of the cow is found.

Where a group of cows sit and breathe comfortably, it not only enhances the beauty of the place, but all the sins there are also destroyed. The virtue one gets by taking bath in pilgrimages, by providing food to Brahmins, by fasting, by chanting and performing havan-sacrifice. The same virtuous service is achieved by feeding fodder to the mother cow.

Cow service removes sorrow and misfortune and brings happiness and prosperity in the house. Gods are always pleased with those people who serve cows with devotion, as a result of which wealth, happiness and prosperity comes to the house.

On Amavasya, by feeding food, fodder etc. to cow-mothers, the ancestors are questioned, as a result of which there is increase in the lineage, progeny, birth of a son, and attainment of gems.

In a house where cow grass is taken out before eating, there is never any shortage of food and money in that family.
