Shree Nilkanth Mahadev Temple Near Nani Gate Sikar Rajasthan

There is an old Shiva temple in Sikar. People start coming here from 5:00 in the morning. Many devotees of Sikar come regularly.

Neelkanth temple is 300 years old. Earlier there used to be a shop here in place of the temple. Then a Peepal tree grew here and Shivlinga was installed here 300 years ago.According to the folk tale, one day a thief came to steal the Shiva Linga, but the Shiva Linga became so heavy that the thief could not lift it. The Shivalinga in the temple is black in color and idols of Shiva family are installed. There is a huge crowd here on the occasion of Shivratri.
