According to Vishnu Purana, the conch is one of the 14 gems obtained during the churning of the ocean. **To increase happiness and good fortune, it should be installed in your home. Dakshinavarti conch is called Lakshmi form. Without this the worship of Goddess Lakshmi is not considered complete.

It is believed that while worshiping Lakshmi in the month of Aghan, especially on Thursday, Dakshinavarti conch must be worshipped. Apart from this, by worshiping conch at home daily, one never feels shortage of money in life.

Worship the conch like this…

Take bath in the morning and wear clean washed clothes.
Place a conch shell in a vessel on the plate.
Now bathe him with raw milk and water.
Now wipe it with a clean cloth and apply silver work on it.

After that light a ghee lamp and incense sticks.
Now write Shri Ekakshari Mantra on the conch with the mixed solution of milk and saffron and keep it in a silver or copper vessel.
Now while chanting the above mantra of conch worship, offer kumkum, rice and perfume and offer white flowers.
