Sri Nrusimhar and Chakrathaazhwar Temple
The village houses several sacred temples. The Narasimhar temple, maintained by the Malayala Namboothris, is a small one situated in a fairly remote place. It is popular among a section of the people for its speciality. Lord Chakrathazhwar or Narasimhar, is the main deity with Venkatesa Perumal as the urchava idol in the front. The speciality of the temple is that Lord Narasimhar holds chakra in all His four hands, and has no conch. The temple is at least a thousand years old as per the inscriptions and around 30 permanent Garuda sevas take place every year apart from the temporary ones. During the Garuda sevas, the temple is kept open from morning to evening continuously. A beautiful Tamirabarani bathing ghat stands by the side of the temple, and is considered very sacred.”
