Shri Dudheshwarnath Mahadev Math Temple, Ghaziabad

Hundreds of temples of Lord Shiva are established across the country. Every temple has its own belief. Among these ancient temples is Shri Dudheshwar Nath Temple located in Delhi NCR Ghaziabad. This temple is also quite famous. It is believed that just by having darshan of Baba Bholenath in this temple, every trouble goes away and happiness and prosperity is attained.

Shri Dudheshwar Nath Temple is related to Ravana

Dudheshwar Nath temple of Ghaziabad is also linked to the period of Ravana. According to mythology, on the banks of river Hindon, sage Vishrava, son of Pulastya, who was the father of Ravana, performed severe penance. Along with this Ravana also worshiped. This place is known as Dudheshwar Hiranyagarbha Mahadev Temple Math. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself appeared here. Today Shivalinga is present here three feet below the ground.

Cow discovered Shivalinga

According to legend this temple is situated at a place where many years ago a cow spilled her milk at a place. When this happened for a long time, the owner of the cow kept an eye on that cow. Then he saw that as soon as the cows reached that place, a stream of milk started flowing. The cowherd came and told this entire story to the villagers. After which all the people of the cow were reaching that place. On the other hand, in a village named Kot, Lord Shiva appeared in a dream to a Sanyasi Siddha Mahatma of the highly renowned Juna Akhara in a dream and ordered him to reach that place. In the morning the villagers reached here and from the other side the Mahatma reached this holy place with his disciples. After this the excavation was started. Shivalinga became visible after excavation. After this he was established there and started being worshipped.

A unique well is present in the courtyard of Shri Dudheshwar Nath Temple.

After digging the place where Shivling was located, the elders said that there is also a water reservoir nearby. In such a situation, after digging nearby, a unique well was also found. It is believed that the water of the well sometimes tastes sweet and sometimes tastes like milk. Even today this well is situated in the monastery.

The main gate is made of one stone

The main entrance of the temple is carved from a single stone. Lord Ganesha is placed in the middle of the door.

Veda Vidyapeeth is situated in Shri Dudheshwar Nath Temple.

In the year 2002, on the occasion of Shri Shankaracharya Jayanti, a Veda Vidyapeeth was established here. Twenty classes have been started in Shri Dudheshwar University under this temple complex. It also has a rich library, containing about eight hundred texts. Students from every corner of the country come here to learn the Vedas and scriptures.
