Aaprupi Shiv Mandir/Shiva Temple Dibrugarh,Assam

The temple is located near Dibrugarh railway station. The temple was established in 1818 under the inspiration of Shridevi Sharan Pandey with the help of Marwari devotees. In the year 2000, the temple was renovated by the committee. It is said that once Shri Devi Sharan Pandey was taking bath in the river and a stone hit his feet and then he found out that it was a beautiful Shivalinga. Sharan ji placed the Shivling under a Peepal tree. Since then people started worshipping the Shivling. Initially the temple was built in a small form, later it was enlarged and the temple was expanded.
