After all, why is there only one temple of Lord Brahma in the whole of India?
Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh have great importance in Hindu religion. Where Vishnu ji is the protector of the world, Mahesh is the destroyer and Brahma is the creator of this world. We all know that there are many temples of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva located in India. But do you know that there is only one temple of Lord Brahma in India. There is a popular story behind the existence of only one temple of Lord Brahma in India. So let’s read this story-
According to Padma Purana, once a demon named Vajranash had created havoc on earth. His atrocities had increased so much that Lord Brahma got fed up and had to kill him. While he was killing him, lotus flowers fell at three places from Brahma ji’s hands. Wherever three lotuses fell, three lakes were formed. After this this place was named Pushkar. Then for the welfare of the world, Brahma ji decided to perform the yagya here. Brahma ji reached Pushkar to perform the yagya. But his wife Savitri ji could not reach here on time. To complete this Yagya, Savitri’s presence was very important. In such a situation, when Savitri did not come, he married Gayatri, a girl from the Gurjar community. After this the marriage started. Meanwhile, Goddess Savitri also reached there. When she saw Gayatri sitting next to Brahma, she became angry.Savitri ji cursed Brahma ji that although he is a god, he will never be worshipped. Everyone was surprised to hear this. Everyone requested him to take back this curse. But he did not take it. When his anger cooled down, Savitri said that on this earth you will be worshiped only in Pushkar. If someone else builds your temple then that temple will be destroyed.Vishnu ji also helped Brahma ji in this work. Due to this, Goddess Saraswati also cursed Lord Vishnu that he would have to bear the pain of separation from his wife. For this reason, Vishnu ji took the incarnation of Shri Ram and during his 14 years of exile he had to live separately from his wife. In such a situation, there is only one temple of Lord Brahma in Pushkar.
However, there is no information about who built this temple and when it was built. It is believed that about one thousand two hundred years ago, a ruler of the Aranva dynasty had a dream.
It was said that there is a temple at this place. This temple needs proper maintenance.
