Its the first lingam in Thiruvannamalai girivalam path. It has been believed that Indiran worshipped Lord Shiva in this place with vajrayudha along woth his White elephant Iravatha. This place is very near to Annamalaiyar temple. Very small but powerful God.

Indra’s Worship: According to legend, Lord Indra, the king of the devas (gods), worshipped Lord Shiva in the form of a lingam at this location to seek forgiveness and purification from a curse. It is believed that worshipping the Indra Lingam can bestow the devotee with relief from sins and bless them with prosperity and well-being.
Location: The Indra Lingam is situated to the east of the main temple complex. It is typically the first lingam encountered by devotees performing the circumambulation (Girivalam) of the Arunachala Hill, a sacred practice that involves walking around the hill, which is considered a manifestation of Lord Shiva himself.
Special Occasions: On special occasions and during the Girivalam, the Indra Lingam shrine sees a significant influx of devotees. The full moon days (Purnima) are particularly auspicious for performing Girivalam, and special poojas are conducted to honor the deities associated with each lingam.
