King Chitrasen ruled in Shakal Nagar with his beautiful and youthful queen Chandraprabha and his beautiful young daughter. The girl had memory of her previous birth. The king started thinking about her marriage, but the daughter narrated the story of her previous birth. She was the well-to-do wife of a Brahmin Haraswami but he did not want her, nor any other woman. He was virtuous.
To subjugate my husband, I made him drink milk mixed with mantraput powder on the request of the abandoned women, in the same way he started trembling and said, I am your slave, protect me. Since then he came under control but when the time came, I died and after suffering hellish torture, I had to be born in the house of that Chandal.
Thereafter she reached Mahakalvan and after having darshan of a particular Linga, she boarded a divine plane and went to Indrapur. Then I am born in Shakalpur as your daughter. Again she came to Mahakal forest along with her father for darshan of the linga. After darshan of the linga, she got absorbed in the same linga. The king also got a son. The king named the Linga as Avimukteshwar which became famous among the people by this name.
The wise man who sees Avimukteshwar, his salvation is certain. The result of all types of Yagya and celibacy rituals is equivalent to this Linga Darshan. Even a sinful person, by seeing this Linga, attains a state free from birth and death.
