Baijnath Mahadev Temple Dausa, Rajasthan
This temple is in the middle of the city of Dausa, every wish of the devotees coming to this temple is fulfilled. Dausa is also known as Devnagari because Panch Mahadev is present here. Baijnath Mahadev Temple is also one of them. This temple was established a thousand years ago by the king of Dausa. This temple was established in the middle of the city of Dausa. People say that the king of Dausa had established the Baijnath Mahadev temple for the people of his city and for himself. In this temple, Lord Ganesha is present along with Baijnath Mahadev and Riddhi Siddhi. The temple is at the bottom of the hill and at the foothills of Neelkanth Mahadev. Due to being in the foothills, the waterfall keeps flowing here during the rainy days, people come to see the waterfall.
There is an ancient stepwell near this temple, there is still water in the stepwell. This stepwell was built by the king here. To provide water to the city residents, the people here used to drink water from this stepwell. This stepwell is at the bottom of a hill and at the foothills of Neelkanth. Because of this, the water from the hill used to collect in this stepwell here and it still does so. People do not use this water. There is also an ancient Hanuman temple and a well near this temple. All these were also built by the king of this place. There is water in the well even today. People coming here and the city residents drink the water of this well. It is called Rani’s well. The water of the well is potable and when programs are held here, water from this well is used.
Baijnath Mahadev Temple is mostly worshiped by women because earlier I used to be the queen of this temple. Due to Neelkanth being situated on top of the hill, women were less able to go there. Due to its high altitude, the king of this place had built this temple and the women and queens of the city used to worship here. Even today, mostly women worship in this temple. For the devotees going to Baijnath Mahadev Temple, there is a route from both the railway station and the bus stand. Devotees going here can also go on foot. Most of the devotees go on foot.
