Bamhaneshwar Nath Mahadev Temple of Chhattisgarh is 125 years old, worship here has special significance in Sawan.

It is said that by consecrating Lord Bholenath here and offering Belpatra, every wish is fulfilled. Mahadev Temple has been the center of faith of Shiva devotees for years.

History of Bamhaneshwar Nath Temple
Bamhaneshwar Nath Mahadev Temple is about 125 years old. Arjun Lal, son of the Malguzar Basavan Saav, during his morning walk, found a monk meditating under this banyan tree. The monk told them that at this place Lord Shivshankar himself is buried underground with Jatashankari Gangaji. His period of meditation has been completed. They are indicating emergence from underground. Your presence here as an assistant in this work is due to his own inspiration. Arjun Sav, with the help of Sanyasi Vishnu Sharma, removed the Shivalinga from the underground and replaced it.

Features of the temple
There is Sitli drain near the temple complex covered with banyan trees. There is a white Ganga water reservoir emerging from underground in the temple premises itself. A fair is organized here during Mahashivratri and throughout the month of Sawan. Ganga Aarti is performed every evening in Sawan.

Every Monday along with other days devotees come here to perform Jalabhishek.

This temple is the center of religious faith. Crowds of devotees gather here in the month of Sawan. Since 1983, Bolbam Kanwariya has been continuously going to various Shiva temples with water from the White Ganga water reservoir.
