Kuil Bateshwarnath mangrupikeun kuil kuno. Bateshwar ayana dina jarak 70 km ti Agra (Uttar Pradesh) di tepi walungan Yamuna. Bateshwar mangrupikeun salah sahiji désa pangkolotna kalayan sajarah anu beunghar. Éta mangrupikeun salah sahiji pusat spiritual sareng budaya anu penting di India.Bateshwar site is known for 101 Shiva temples located on the banks of Yamuna and Shauripur. Hindus make pilgrimage to Bateshwar Dham situated on the banks of river Yamuna in honor of Lord Shiva. Even today, beautiful figures are carved on the walls and ceilings of some temples. The 22nd Tirthankara Prabhu Neminath was born in Shauripur. This area attracts Jain tourists as well.

There are 101 temples situated in a row on the banks of Yamuna which were built by Raja Badan Singh Bhadauria. Raja Badan Singh changed the flow of Yamuna river, which was once from west to east, from east to west i.e. towards Bateshwar. To protect these temples from the flow of Yamuna river, a dam was also constructed by Raja Badan Singh Bhadauria. Bateshwar Nath Temple finds mention in the sacred texts of Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Matsya Purana.

Bateshwarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an ancient temple of Bihar. It is situated to the east of Hajipur. This temple has been situated here since the Mughal period. It is believed that this temple originated from a banyan tree that is thousands of years old and many people believe that this temple is self-built. As a result many devotees come here.

The dacoit Ghunghun Parihar had declared himself a dacoit by offering a bell here. Whenever dacoit Paan Singh Tomar was successful in a big robbery, he used to offer a big bell. – Tied with thick chains for dozens of hours. The names of dacoits are also written on many of these bells.

Bateshwar Fair A big cattle fair is organized here every year in the month of October and November (Karthik month every year). Another name of Shiva is Pashupati, the cattle fair of Bateshwar makes it meaningful. The cattle fair of Bateshwar is famous all over India and tourists come from all over the country and abroad to enjoy this fair.Here the fair is completed in three phases, in the first phase camels, horses and donkeys are sold, in the second phase other animals like cows etc. and in the last phase cultural programs are held. A week before the start of the fair, cattle traders start arriving here with their animals. Various types of animal races are also organized in the fair. This small town of Bateshwar provides peace of mind from the busy life of the city which is a major tourist attraction for Hindus and Jains.
