Bhubaneswar Mahadev is an iconic temple located in Dungarpur, Rajasthan. This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is set in the beautiful backdrop of the Aravalli Hills. This temple is situated in the lap of mountains in Karauli village, about nine kilometers away from Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. A naturally formed Swayambhu Shivalinga is present here.

The priest of Bhuvneshwar Mahadev Temple (Bhuvneshwar Mahadev Dungarpur) says that this temple is about 800 to 900 years old. He told that earlier there was no such temple here, nor was there such a grand temple court. The temple has gradually developed with the donations of people. The priest told that this temple was built by Laxman Singh ji’s father. Dharamshala, Yagyashala and food hall are built in the temple. The temple is maintained by priests and devotees. Here, a miraculous statue of Swayambhu Hanuman ji is installed at the bottom of the hill. The statue of Shri Gurumangal Nath is also present in the temple. This place is considered to be the place of Maharaj’s Samadhi. Ankhand Jyoti has been burning with pure ghee in the temple for the last 200 years.

It is believed that the size of the Lingam enshrined here is increasing every year. Due to the increase in size of Shivling every year, the Sheshnag installed here has to be changed every year. Bhubaneswar Mahadev Temple is famous as an ancient monastery in the entire country. It is a popular pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from across the region. The temple complex has intricate architecture and a sacred pond, which adds to its attraction. Among all the Jyotirlingas of Bagad, Bhuvaneshwar Mahadev is famous in the entire region. Devotees from all over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra keep coming to the Siddha temple of Mahadev for darshan.
