Saga of bohrahi dham located on the banks of Kolhan river

Viraje Mata Boharhi and Thakur Dev on Tilda Nevra to Raipur route from Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in the capital Raipur, about 10 km in the north direction. At a distance of there is a natural and panoramic place, which we know by the name of Boharhi Dai. Nestled on the banks of the Kolhan River, this site comes under the village stone, but the village Nagargaon, Village Tor and Village Taresar are as close as it is. Therefore, all the villagers consider it as a place under their village, and in the same way they have faith in it.
A very interesting story is told about the arrival and establishment of Boharhi Dai to come to this site. It is said that Boharhi Dai came here from another village and came here from the river route, and dreaming to a prosperous farmer of village stone that I am here, if you want me to stay here, build a temple etc. to live here.
The said farmer told his dream to other villagers, on which the villagers decided to test the said site.
When the villagers went there, a statue was found at the site shown in a dream on the banks of the Kolhan River, which was installed at some distance from the river at the behest of the villagers. Today people know this in the name of Boharhi Dai. Regarding the name Bohrahi, it is said that she came in the Devi river, which is called “Bohakar” in the local Chhattisgarhi language, hence it was named “Boharhi”.

In Boharhi, located on the Mumbai-Howrah rail route, there was only a small Chabutaranuma temple built by the villagers from the river site. After that a small Shiva temple was built by railwaymen.
In connection with this, it is said that when the construction work of the Mumbai-Howrah rail route was going on during the British rule, the construction of the culvert on a small drain flowing from nearby was being interrupted repeatedly. Half was made and then falls.
It is said that that good work of the bridge was being done under the supervision of a Bengali engineer. One night, the engineer had a dream that if another temple is constructed by the railway department near the temple of Boharhi Dai, the construction work of the bridge will be done smoothly. Believing the dream of dreams, the said Bengali engineer then built a temple of Shiva ji in the right part of Bohrahi Dai, then the construction work of the said bridge was completed. Even today, people call that culvert in the memory of that Bengali engineer.
Bohrahi Dham has developed completely as a complete religious place today. Today many temples have been constructed by people of various societies at this site. Now it has also become the center of tourism, where there is a crowd of people who are fond of traveling daily along with devotees. Every year on the occasion of Mahashiva night, a huge fair of three days has also started filling.
In Bohrahi, now on the occasion of both Navratri, Manokamna Jyoti is also ignited. Many devotees are also sacrificed on fulfilling their wishes. In order to close the battle prevalent here, some social workers had also done the work of public awareness by taking out a rally etc., but people are still keeping this practice alive due to their faith.
Thousands of devotees visit here every day due to being near Tilda Navra.
