Brahma Savitri Peeth is located in Asotra, a small village about 10 km from Balotra town in Rajasthan.
This temple is a modern spiritual center with deep religious importance. The construction of the temple began in the year 1961 and was completed in 1984 after many years of dedicated effort. Although the temple is not ancient in terms of structure, it has gained great significance and is considered one of the most important temples dedicated to Brahma in India after Pushkar.

Deity Details

The main deity of the temple is Brahma, who is worshipped along with Goddess Savitri, and also associated with Gayatri in spiritual tradition. The idol of Brahma is made of white marble and is installed in the sanctum with a calm and divine expression.

This temple is unique because Brahma is worshipped together with his consort, which is extremely rare in Hindu temples. Along with the main deity, the temple also houses idols of important sages like Vashishta, Kashyapa, Gautama, and Parashara, representing the Vedic knowledge tradition and the lineage of rishis.

Temple Architecture

The temple is large and beautifully constructed using traditional materials and techniques. It is built using Jodhpur stone, also known as Chhitar stone, along with golden-colored stone in certain parts of the structure. The main idol is made from Makrana marble, which is known for its purity and durability.

The structure of the temple is strong and well-planned, with a deep foundation and a spacious layout. The carvings inside the temple are detailed and reflect traditional temple art. The temple complex includes open spaces, halls, and facilities for devotees, creating a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere for worship and meditation.

History

The temple was built by the respected saint Brahmarshi Sant Khetaram Ji Maharaj, who is highly revered for his spiritual vision and dedication. He began the construction of the temple in 1961 after receiving divine inspiration to establish a place of worship for Brahma.

He traveled and gathered support mainly from devotees and his community to build the temple. The construction continued for nearly 24 years, showing great patience and devotion. The temple was finally completed in 1984, and the idol of Brahma was installed with proper Vedic rituals.

It is believed that shortly after the consecration of the temple, the saint attained samadhi. This event is considered very significant and adds to the spiritual importance of the temple, as devotees believe the saint’s blessings remain present in the temple.

Sthalapurana

According to traditional belief, temples dedicated to Brahma are very rare because Brahma is not widely worshipped as an independent deity. It is believed that in ancient times, due to certain divine incidents, the worship of Brahma became limited, and very few temples were established for him.

In this context, the story of this temple begins with the spiritual experience of Brahmarshi Sant Khetaram Ji Maharaj. It is said that he received divine guidance and inner vision directing him to establish a temple dedicated to Brahma so that devotees could once again connect with the creator aspect of the universe.

The saint believed that people face many problems in life due to their past karma and destiny, which is written by Brahma. By worshipping Brahma sincerely, a person can seek divine grace to reduce difficulties and find a better path in life. With this belief, he started the construction of the temple and dedicated his life to this mission.

The temple is now considered a Brahma–Savitri Siddha Peeth, where the combined presence of Brahma and Savitri represents creation, knowledge, and divine energy. Devotees believe that prayers offered here can help in changing one’s destiny, removing obstacles, and bringing clarity in important life decisions.
