In the Devi temples of Niabhar, Ghatasthapana of Navratri is done on Pratham, but an ancient temple of Nagaur district is the only temple in the world where Ghatasthapana of Navratri is done on Amavasya. In Sanatan Dharma Navratri comes twice a year. Special worship of the Goddess is done across the country on both Chaitra Navratri and Sharadiya Navratri.
Shardiya Navratri has its own significance. Apart from Goddess temples, Durga Puja pandals are also established during this Navratri. Ghatasthapana is done on the day of Pratipada and people worship Shakti for 9 days but Brahmani Mata Temple of Merta Road is the only temple in the country where Ghatasthapana is done a day before the country and the world and exactly on the eighth day Its completion also takes place.
After knowing, it is said that for the first time ever Ghat establishment took place here. Due to the presence of Shatabhisha Nakshatra on the day of Amavasya at that time, the tradition created at that time continues even today. However, there are also legends that Muslim invaders had attacked here on the day of Ekam, in which 80 Pandits died while fighting. Since then, due to the mourning day on Prathama, Ghatasthapana is done on Amavasya. According to the local people, the priests living here were farmers and farmers did not work in the fields on Amavasya, so keeping that in mind, the tradition of establishing Ghat Sthapana on Amavasya started here.

Some of them get the feeling of mother and they enter the sanctum sanctorum and after that, till Saptami, they remain fasting only with the help of charanamrit without eating or drinking anything and do sadhana in the sanctum sanctorum.
After that, on the day of Panchami Aarti, the spirit of mother comes to one of the devotees sitting in the sanctum sanctorum and the name of one person from the priest’s family is called. On the day of Saptami, Mataji gets the food from the same person’s family and the rest of the people sitting in Sadhna eat food from the same priest’s house after seven days. During these 8 days of Durga Puja, women are prohibited from circumambulating the temple.There is no clear mention anywhere about the period of establishment of the temple, but on the basis of craftsmanship and dating, the temple is believed to be 1500 to 2000 years old. In terms of craftsmanship, there is an archway built here, which is an unmatched example of craftsmanship. There is also a belief that there were 7 gates in 9 steps above this archway, on which in ancient times a big flame was lit during Navratri, seeing which the then Maharaja of Jodhpur used to observe the fast after having darshan of the flame.
