Chakreshwar Mandir Chakan Pune,Maharashtra

Chakreshwar Mandir is a popular Hindu temple located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is situated in the suburb of Chinchwad, which is approximately 16 km from Pune city center. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most visited temples in the area.

Chakreshwara Temple is an ancient temple. There is a swayambhu linga found by Shandilya Maha Rushi and he did his Sadhana over there for a very long duration. The quality of Linga is such that it has all the Seven chakras that’s why it is known as Chakreshwar. There is a small Devi temple known as Shakti which is actually a cave and is the place where the Maha Rushi did his intense Sadhana’s. There is a pond and a garden in the surrounding of temple.
