Chandeshwori Temple Tokha Tokha Municipility Kathmandu Nepal
Famous Chandeshwari temple located in Tokha municipality of Kathmandu district. This temple is located in a very beautiful place full of natural beauty near Shivpuri hill and forest. On the right side of this Chandeshwari temple there are idols of Ganesha and Goddess and on the left side there is a magnificent temple of Muskasheshwar Mahadev. There is also a large statue of Kali Mata in the same premises. The tundals of this Chandeshwari temple are engraved with the art of 84 sexual postures described by Vatsyapan Muni. It is understood that the establishment of this temple of Chandeshwari by Shri 3 Juddha Shamsher has created tundals depicting such sexual activities for the purpose of creating hatred towards the attractive sexual activities of the Buddhists. The temple also has a tradition of visiting newlyweds on the fourth day of their marriage. In the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, there is a statue of Goddess Chandeshwari in the lower part between the black stones and on the right and left are idols of various deities.
