The ancient Chandramouleshwar Mahadev temple is situated on the banks of Chandrabhaga river in Jhalrapatan of the district. It is believed that after taking bath in Chandrabhaga river and worshiping in the temple, all the wishes of the people are fulfilled. One of the oldest Shiva temples of Rajasthan is Chandramouleshwar Mahadev Temple, which is situated on the banks of Chandrabhaga river, also known as Ganga of Hadoti. Where it is believed that after taking bath in the river and offering prayers in the temple, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.

Chandramouleshwar temple was built in 689 AD. In this case, this temple is more than 1300 years old. Due to which its name comes among the oldest Shiva temples of Rajasthan. Mahmud Ghaznabi had also tried to demolish this temple and had also broken Nandi but he was not successful in demolishing the temple completely.

King Chandrasen of Jjain was suffering from leprosy. He took bath in Chandrabhaga river and worshiped in the temple. After which he got relief from the disease. Regarding the Shivalinga of the temple, it is said that because of wearing the moon on his head, Lord Shiva is also called Chandrabhal, Chandrachud and Chandramouleshwar. In such a situation, the Shivalinga here allows one to see his form.
