“That is, the nectar-like water of the feet of Lord Vishnu is like a medicine that quenches all sins and diseases; the one who drinks Charanamrit is never born again.

When Lord Vamana was incarnated and he went to King Bali’s sacrificial fire to collect donations, he measured three worlds in three steps. When he measured the lower worlds in the first step and the upper worlds in the second step, then as soon as he reached Brahmaloka. When Brahma ji went to his feet, he took water from his kamandalu.Washed the Lord’s feet and then kept the charanamrit back in her kamandal, that charanamrit became Ganga ji, who even today washes away the sins of the entire world, where did this power come from? This is the power of the Lord’s feet on which Brahma Ji had offered ordinary water but as soon as his feet touched it, it became Ganga Ji. When we sing the aarti of Banke Bihari Ji, we say —-
“The beloved Ganga emerged from the feet and spread the whole world.”
It is considered very sacred in religion and is consumed after applying it on the forehead.
Consumption of Charanamrit is considered like nectar.
