Chaukasinath Phoolmati Mandir Shahjahanpur
Two Shivlingas are worshiped in Choksi Nath of Shahjahanpur, crowd of devotees gather for darshan.
In Choksi Nath temple, two Shivlingas are connected to each other. There is also a famous temple of Phoolmati Mata in this complex. Phoolmati was the goddess of the royal court of Kannauj.
Baba Chowksi Nath Temple situated in Shahjahanpur Chowk is named after Sukhlal Chowksi. Chauksi Nath temple priest Vijay Giri told that Sukhlal Choksi had come to the city from Kannauj on July 28, 1982 in connection with a case. It is said that this place was given to him to live. When he got the cleaning done here, the shovel hit a statue. Even after digging 10-12 feet, the head of the statue could not be found.
Another idol and a stone were also found, but its end was also not found. Later a temple was established at this place. Here two Shivalingas are connected to each other. There is also a famous temple of Phoolmati Mata in this complex. Phoolmati was the goddess of the royal court of Kannauj. The credit for establishing the temple is given to Sukhlal Choksi, who brought the foundation stone of the temple on foot from Kannauj. A fair is held in the temple premises on every Amavasya. There is also a temple of Lord Radharaman at this place.
