Chausath Yogini Temple or Chausath Yoginis are often the incarnation or part of Adishakti Maa Kali. Mother had taken the above mentioned sixty-four incarnations while fighting with the demon named Ghor. It is also believed that all of them are friends of Mata Parvati. Out of these sixty-four goddesses, ten Mahavidyas and Siddha Vidyas are also counted.All of them are mostly different incarnations of the original Shakti Kali. Some people say that all the Yoginis mainly belong to the Kali clan and all of them have a close relationship with Tantra and Yoga Vidya. There is mention of eight or nine major Chausath-Yogini temples in India. Of these, written evidence is available only for five – two in Odisha and three in Madhya Pradesh.All Yoginis are endowed with supernatural powers and the rituals like Indrajal, magic, vashikaran, killing, erecting etc. are successful only by their grace. Mainly the names of eight Yogini are as follows:- 1. Sur-Sundari Yogini, 2. Manohara Yogini, 3. Kanakvati Yogini, 4. Kameshwari Yogini, 5. Rati Sundari Yogini, 6. Padmini Yogini, 7. Natini Yogini and 8. Madhumati Yogini.

Names of sixty-four Yoginis:-

1.Bahurup, 3.Tara, 3.Narmada, 4.Yamuna, 5.Shanti, 6.Varuni, 7.Kshemankari, 8.Andri, 9.Varahi, 10.Ranveera, 11.Vanar-Mukhi, 12.Vaishnavi, 13 .Kalratri, 14.Vaidyarupa, 15.Charchika, 16.Betli, 17.Chhinnamastika, 18.Vrishvahan, 19.Jwalakamini,20.Ghatwar, 21.Karakali, 22.Saraswati, 23.Birupa, 24.Kauvery. 37. Vindhyavasini, 38. Veer Kumari, 39. Maheshwari, 40. Ambika, 41. Kamini, 42. Ghatabari,43.Stuti, 44.Kali, 45.Uma, 46.Narayani, 47.Samudra, 48.Brahmini, 49.Jwala Mukhi, 50.Aagneyi, 51.Aditi, 51.Chandrakanti, 53.Vayuvega, 54.Chamunda, 55 Murti, 56. Ganga, 57. Dhumavati, 58. Gandhar, 59. Sarva Mangala, 60. Ajita, 61. Suryaputri, 62. Vayu Veena, 63. Aghor and 64. Bhadrakali.

1. Chausath Yogini Temple, Morena:-
Chausath Yogini Temple located in Morena, Madhya Pradesh has special significance. This temple was called Tantric University in the past. At that time, there used to be a gathering of tantrikas in this temple to achieve tantric siddhis by performing tantric rituals. This temple was the place of astrology and mathematics education based on the Sun.
The architect of the Parliament building has also built our Parliament building under the influence of the design of our Chausath Yogini temple.

2. Chausath Yogini Temple, Jabalpur:-
Chausath Yogini Temple is a famous tourist destination of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This temple adds another chapter to the historical richness of Jabalpur. Located near the famous Marble Rock, this temple houses the idol of 64 attendants of Goddess Durga.

3. Chausath Yogini Temple, Khajuraho:-
Chausath Yogini Temple, located to the south-west of Sivasagar Lake, is the first masterpiece of Chandela art. This temple is the best among all the Yogini temples of India and it is the most ancient in terms of construction.

4. Chausath Yogini Temple Hirapur Orissa :-
Hirapur is a small village 20 kilometers away from Bhubaneswar. India’s smallest Yogini temple ‘Chausath Yogini’ is situated in this village.

5.Ranipur-
Chausath Yogini Temple of Jharia Balangir, Orissa:- This historical temple built of bricks is situated in the twin village named Ranipur Jharia, Titilagarh tehsil of Balangir district of Orissa.
