Share

Sri Anjali Varada Anjaneya Temple is located at Chinnalapatti, near Dindigul, Tamil Nadu.
Here, Anjaneya is seen worshiping with a weapon in Anjalihasta position. His right eye is the sun. Left eye Moon. His kesham is shaped differently like a halo. It is considered to be one of the six abodes of Lord Anjaneya where Sanjeevani hill fell during the great Ramayana war.

The main deity is imposing and stands around 16 feet tall. The idol is very attractive shining eyes. Shani, Rahu, Ketu are seen at his feet.

The Deity is made of Saligrama stones brought from near River Gandaki in Nepal. He stands with golded hands with his mace resting on his thigh. His eyes are sparkling black and seem to follow his Devotees. He is installed in such a way that he could be seen from a far distance too. It is said that a Chunk or Part of Sanjeevani Hill had fallen here when Anjaneya Swamy was carrying it to Sri Lanka for the sake of Lakshmana and others.

Devotees throng to this temple on Saturdays. Butter & Vada Malai are his choicest alankarams. The Deity is decorated with fruits & flowers on selected days.
