This year, Dussehra festival will be celebrated across the country on Friday, October 19. The entire country celebrates this festival with great enthusiasm and Ravana Dahan is performed in many parts. On this day, immersion of Goddess Durga and worship of Lord Rama is done and everyone starts worshiping on this day early in the morning. But amidst this, there is a strange place where Ravana is not worshiped but Lord Ram. Apart from this, it is also surprising that the temple of Dashanan opens here once a year on the day of Vijayadashami. Here, crowds of people gather in Dashanan temple to worship Ravana. Devotees come to Dashanan temple located in Shivala area of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh to worship Ravana. This temple opens only once a year on the day of Vijayadashami.

Ravana is worshiped in this form and for this reason.
Ravana is worshiped as a symbol of power in the Dashanan temple and devotees make wishes by lighting oil lamps.According to tradition, the doors of the temple are opened at 8 in the morning and the idol of Ravana is decorated. After this aarti takes place. On Saturday evening the doors of the temple are closed for a year. According to the coordinator of this temple of Ravana, among the various temples present in the temple complex, there is a temple of Ravana near the Shiva temple. It was constructed 120 years ago by Maharaj Guru Prasad Shukla. The coordinator says that Ravana, besides being a great scholar, was also a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Therefore, a temple of Ravana was built in this complex as a sentinel of power.
