Jaipur. Among the Hanumat Peethas of Gulabinagar, the Peetha of Dher Ke Balaji Temple near Ambabadi has been revered by the people since ancient times. There were gardens blooming in 68 bighas of land all around the temple complex. Because of the temple, the name of Jhotwara Railway Station was changed from Jaipur West to Balaji Railway Station of Dhar. Due to the temple built in Parasrampura, people forgot the name of the village and started calling it Balaji of Dharpur.

Hanuman ji’s statue is seven feet high
In olden times, during the rainy season, people along with their families would come to the temple in bullock carts to perform Sawamani and Goth. There is a Hanumat idol about seven feet high, which shows the image of Ram-Lakshman being taken to the underworld. Hanumanji is holding a mace in one hand and lifting a mountain with the other. Now a dense population has settled around the temple, which is spread over about three bighas. There was a Shiva and Hanuman temple here during the time of Amer King Jai Singh I. Due to the abundance of water and heaps of mud in the pond around it, the temple started being called Balaji of heaps.
heaps of happiness and prosperity
People also believe that Shiva and Hanumanji are the bringers of happiness and prosperity. Apart from Hanumanji, there are three ancient temples of Lord Shankar in the complex. One is in the form of Shankar Yogi and the other in decorative form is sitting with his family. In the south-east, the Sahastrabhishek puja of the third Lord Shiva is more prevalent.
Once upon a time, Morija Thakur Kalyan Singh and Mohabbat Singh of Kuli Khachariyawas used to come to visit the temple in the inaccessible forest. During the time of Amer King Jai Singh I, Brahmin Jaisa Bohra, who suddenly became rich, left Akeda village and came to Nangal. On the way, he cooked dal and ate food under the shade of the banyan tree of this temple.According to Pandit Rajesh Pancholi, the temple gained fame during the time of Nandkumar’s descendants Vijaypal Pancholi and Laharilal. Lahriji was counted among the famous astrologers of Jaipur. Lahiriji was highly respected in the royal court. People going for employment in Gulf countries have faith in the temple.
