Deepadih- 75 km from Ambikapur on Kusmi road. There is a place called Deepadih in the distance. Archaeological remains of Shaiva and Shakya sects from 8th to 14th century are scattered in the areas around Deepadih. There must have been many Shiva temples around Deepadih. Many Shivalingas, rivers and artistic idols of Goddess Durga are situated here. Artistic sculptures of Lord Vishnu, Kuber, Kartikeya and many gods and goddesses are visible on the pillars of this temple. A special idol among the goddess idols is that of Mahishasura Mardini. There are many statues of Goddess Chamunda. The Shiva temple located in Oraon Tola is very artistic. Sculptures of snake, peacock, monkey, swan and Maithuni are carved on the outer walls of Shiva temple. There is a Shiva temple built in Panchayana style in the Sawant Sarna complex. There are attractive geometric decorations on the walls of this temple. The entrance of the temple is adorned with the statue of Gajabhishekiya Lakshmi. The embracing statue of Uma-Maheshwar is worth seeing. The artistic ruins of Rani Pokhara, Borjo Tila, Semal Tila, Aama Tila etc. are visible at this place. Maithuni sculptures of Deepadih are made of Khajuraho style.
