Even God Indra could not save himself from Ahilya’s beauty and once he did so, due to which Ahilya herself had to suffer the consequences.

Indra’s trap: Once in the absence of sage Gautam, Devraj Indra disguises himself as him and enters the ashram and proposes to Ahilya. Ahalya establishes a relationship with Indra even after knowing his true identity.

Ahilya’s pride: It is mentioned in many places that when Ahilya comes to know that Indra in the guise of her husband is courting her, she starts feeling proud of the fact that Indra himself is attracted towards her. For this reason they give permission to establish a relationship. Some documents say that Goddess Ahalya had established relations with Indra only after considering him as her husband.

Anger of Gautam Rishi When Gautam Rishi saw Indra coming out of his ashram in his own disguise, then he understood the whole thing. In a fit of anger, he cursed his wife Ahilya to turn into a stone and said that unless Lord Rama himself touched her with his feet, Ahilya would not be able to assume human form. After giving this curse, Sage Gautam left for the Himalayas to perform penance.

Salvation by Ram: While traveling with Guru Vishwamitra, Ram reached the deserted ashram of Rishi Gautam. Where he saw a stone in the form of Ahilya. Vishwamitra told the whole incident to Ram, after hearing which Ram saved Ahilya.

Tara, the queen of Kishkindha and wife of Bali, ranks second among the Panchkanyas. According to some texts, Tara was the granddaughter of Jupiter, while according to others, Tara was one of the gems that came out during the churning of the ocean. Tara was so beautiful that all the gods and demons wanted to marry her.

Bali’s wife Bali and Sushen were present as assistants to the gods in the churning. When Tara emerged from Kshir Sagar, both of them expressed their desire to marry her. Bali stood on Tara’s right and Sushen stood on her left. , Then Vishnu solved the problem that the person standing on the right side of the girl was her husband and the one standing on the left was her father. In such a situation, Bali was declared the husband of Tara.

War with Sugriva: When rumors spread that Bali had died during the war with the demons, Sugriva married Bali’s wife and declared himself the emperor of Kishkinda. But when Bali returned he attacked his brother to capture the kingdom and his wife.

Bali expelled Sugriva from his kingdom and kept his beloved wife Ruma with him. When Sugriva got the support of Ram, he came back and again challenged Bali for war.

Tara’s suggestion: Tara understood that Sugriva did not have the strength to face Bali alone, hence he got the support of Ram. He also tried to convince Bali but Bali understood that Tara was taking his side to save Sugriva. Bali abandoned Tara and went to fight Sugriva.

Bali’s statement: When Sugriva killed Bali with the help of Ram, while on his death bed, Bali told his brother Sugriva that he must take Tara’s advice in every matter, taking any step without Tara’s advice could prove costly. Is.

Sage Durvasa had given a mantra to Kunti, the wife of King Pandu of Hastinapur and mother of the three eldest Pandavas, according to which whichever deity she would meditate upon and chant that mantra, that deity would grant her a son.

Effect of Mantra Kunti wanted to know the effects of this mantra, so one day she meditated on Lord Surya and started chanting that mantra. Surya Dev appeared and granted him a son. That son was Karna, but Kunti was unmarried at that time so she had to sacrifice Karna.

Draupadi, who accepted Arjun as her husband during the Swayamvar, had to live as the wife of the five brothers at the insistence of Kunti.

Ved Vyas had given a boon to Draupadi, the incarnation of Kali, that her virginity would remain intact even after becoming the wife of all five brothers.
