The Dudhadhari mandir, or Dudhadhari Barfani Ashram, is built in memory of Saint Dudhadhari Baba, who lived in the hills of the Rajouri district near the Pir Panjal ranges. It is said that Saint Dudhadhari Baba got his name because he lived only by drinking Milk. Milk in the Indian Language means Dudh, and those who take it as food (Sahar) become Dudhadhari.
